On the trip up to Scotland it almost snowed the whole way and at one stage we traveled past the ocean where the beach was covered in snow and sea the in fog. On arriving in Edinburgh we quickly found our residence, a cozy apartment about 25minutes walk from town. That night we decided to take part in the torch light procession where we raised our flaming torch(a massive candle) and “wove our way through the historic streets of Edinburgh with thousands of other people to create a river of fire that finishes with a spectacular firework finale. This was an experience that can only be ‘experienced’ to truly understand how special it is. Wow that’s deep LOL. Anyway…

We skip a night and it’s New Years Eve in Edinburgh. Hogmanay’s highlight, the massive street party which we had tickets to, has got to be the best New Years Party I’ve ever been to, one of the best things about being that you can take your own alcohol as long as it is in a plastic bottle. I managed to get half a bottle of ‘famous grouse’ in me and soon after it was madness on the streets of Edinburgh. All in all, Hogmanay was an amazing event and one I would highly recommend to anyone in the U.K during the NYE
. Special 'Big Ups' to Tash for organising everything and giving The D.A an unforgettable NYE, chur!
